Despite an improvement in the pandemic situation, she reminded that the coverage of primary and booster vaccinations must continue to be increased in order to achieve community immunity in 2022.

According to Tarmizi, Indonesia's vaccination pace had reached two million injections per day.

As of Thursday, the first dose of the vaccine was administered to 192,891,436 citizens, or 92.62 percent of the target recipients, while the second dose had been administered to 150,069,223 people, or 72.06 percent of the target recipients, and the third-dose recipients had totaled 13,905,146, or 6.68 percent of the target.

"The key to ending the pandemic is the willingness of the entire community to partake in primary and booster vaccinations and strictly comply with the health protocols until the situation is declared to improve," she remarked.
