The ministry has already opened the registration for journalists, both local and overseas, including the local media in Bali that are keen to cover GPDRR.

"What is the purpose of this? Well, it is so that (information on) this (GPDRR) can be communicated to the people to keep them well-informed. Hence, they can participate in, for example, disaster mitigation," he explained.

Currently, the ministry continues to coordinate and collaborate with the organizing committee in disseminating information on GPDRR, he added.

This is continued through various media channels, such as social media, outdoor media, online media, and television.

"Basically, we strive as best as we can to utilize every channel to inform the public concerning GPDRR," he elaborated.

GPDRR, in general, will showcase the readiness of Indonesia, and Bali, in particular, in becoming a host to an international conference amid the COVID-19 pandemic, he affirmed.

"The GPDRR will become a sort of warm up for Bali to hold a bigger international meeting, specifically the G20 Summit in the same city in November 2022," Kansong stated.
