Jakarta (ANTARA) - Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Indonesia Daniyar Sarekenov said his country is expecting coordinated action by G20 members on several issues on the global agenda.

"As the main theme of the Indonesian Presidency is “Recover Together, Recover Stronger,” we expect that the G20 countries would coordinate their actions on a number of actual issues in the global agenda," Ambassador Sarekenov said during a special interview with ANTARA here on Friday.

There are a number of issues that need to be resolved in a coordinated manner by G20 members at the forum, he added. The issues include the need to provide universal and fair access to vaccines for all countries to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.

Then, the forum also needs to develop an equitable international trade system to avoid unilateralism and trade protectionism.

Ambassador Sarekenov also stressed the need to continue joint and coordinated action in the fight against climate change.

Meanwhile, efforts to reduce the gap in economic and technological development among countries and regions also need to be carried out to achieve global economic recovery.

He then highlighted the need for the forum to counter intolerance, conflicts, and hybrid wars through peaceful resolution to recreate a world that is more equitable, sustainable, and humane.
