Hence, we help promote halal products from IndonesiaKuala Lumpur (ANTARA) - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) for Malaysia helps promote halal products from Indonesia at the 2022 Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) that will take place on September 7-10, 2022.
"Hence, we help promote halal products from Indonesia," Trade Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia Deden Muhammad Fajar Siddiq stated at the MIHAS 2022 event here on Wednesday.
Siddiq spoke of having participated in MIHAS 2022 to promote Indonesian products that meet halal requirements, so that Indonesian exporters can reach more international markets.
He said that currently, halal products are not only related to food and beverages but also to several other goods and services. Hence, there are many halal products from Indonesia being promoted during MIHAS 2022.

These products include clothing, cosmetics, sandals, socks, sarongs, tuna fish, chips, spices, Rembiga satay, Taliwang chicken, palm sugar, and other products that are included in halal food, halal fashion, halal cosmetics and pharmacy, halal tourism and halal in the service sector.
"Hence, products related to halal are, of course, food and drinks, and then, there is also halal fashion, cosmetics, and there are several other products related to halal," he said.
He said the products on display had been curated and selected to be marketed either in Malaysia or in other countries, so he was confident of the quality of Indonesian products and that they could compete with other foreign products.
Through the showcase, Deden is optimistic that Indonesian exporters would be able to build networks with other participants at the exhibition and find potential buyers, so that transactions occur.

"Hence, the target of the exhibition is, of course, to build a network. Second, the follow-up to the output is that there is a trade transaction," he remarked.
Apart from the Malaysian market, Deden expressed hope that Indonesian products would have a wider and growing market in other Muslim countries, such as the Middle East, Central Asia, former Soviet Union countries that are Muslim, and also other countries that are concerned about the halalness of products and services.
"(It is) because in some countries although they are non-Muslims, they are already concerned about halal," he stated.
In the meantime, MIHAS was held in a hybrid manner, with the physical event being held on September 7-10, 2022, and in total, the event involved almost 600 Malaysian exporters and more than 400 buyers from 50 countries, including the Middle East, Europe, Central Asia, South Asia, ASEAN, Oceania, and the African region.
