We are still continuing to coordinate with other elements, so that our anticipation can be betterBandung, West Java (ANTARA) - The National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) is searching and investigating groups suspected of having assisted in the suicide bombing at Astanaanyar police office on Wednesday, BNPT Head Commissioner General Boy Rafli Amar stated here, Thursday.
The agency also continues to investigate actions of the perpetrator before committing the bombing act that claimed the life of the bomber and a police officer, he remarked.
The agency head emphasized that violence-based ideology was very dangerous, and to this end, precautionary measures should be taken together.
According to Amar, the perpetrator of the suicide bombing at Astanaanyar police office, identified as Agus Sujatno, aka Agus Muslim, was a Bandung resident, who was once transferred to Central Java.

To this end, the agency still needs to delve into the profile of the former terror inmate.
"We are still continuing to coordinate with other elements, so that our anticipation can be better," he remarked.
Moreover, he deemed that the police is often a target for terrorists, as they consider the law enforcement apparatus as a threat to their action.
"Thus, psychologically, among their groups, this makes the police a target for their vengeance. This is certainly very unfortunate, especially if there are people, who were fallen once again," he explained.

He also denounced the suicide bombing tragedy committed by terrorists affiliated with the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) network. The suicide bomber was influenced by the terrorism ideology that legitimizes terror acts.
The agency also expressed its condolences over the demise of the police officer and those who suffered injuries during the tragedy.
Earlier, the Astanaanyar police office in Bandung, West Java, became the target of a suicide bombing on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. local time.
According to Chief of the West Java Police, Police Inspector General Suntana, one police officer was killed, while nine others as well as one resident were injured in the suicide bomb explosion.
