Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) showcases a plethora of investigational devices used by the body at the Integrity Expo during the commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) 2022 in Jakarta on December 9-10.

Some of the devices displayed at KPK’s booth during the exhibition are dissembled handphone, forensic imager, first responder equipment, as well as shock-resistant, dustproof, and waterproof suitcase.

Head of KPK Firli Bahuri noted in his statement on Friday that the disassembled handphone was a mobile phone that had been chipped off to retrieve data contained in the memory chip.

"Meanwhile, a forensic imager is a tool used for making a forensic image copy that is identical to the original data on the storage media, as the copy will be used later during investigation," he remarked.

Furthermore, the suitcase is utilized to carry and protect the first responder equipment to the crime scene.

The first responder equipment included write blockers, hard disk enclosure, screwdriver sets, cable sets, storage media, anti-static bags, and special packaging for electronic evidence.

In addition, anti-corruption campaign boardgames are showcased at the KPK booth. Some of the boardgames are titled "Our Self Choice, Commitment, and Responsibility (PDKT)" as well as "Terajana: The Adventure of Solving Ancient Codes."

Furthermore, the others are the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention (Stranas PK) and Anti-Corruption Dissemination Agency (PAKSI) booths.

The 2022 IACD commemoration, themed "Indonesia Recovers, Unites Against Corruption," was inaugurated by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

On the occasion, the vice president said that corruption could worsen the impact of food crisis in a country.

"Corruption in water and land services will have a negative impact on the welfare of farmers, so it can worsen the impact of the food crisis," he stated.

In addition to the Integrity Expo, the anti-corruption program launch as well as awarding ceremony was conducted for various communities that had contributed in upholding integrity.

The IACD is observed annually on December 9 to raise public awareness on anti-corruption attempts.
