Moreover, the achievement of the year-on-year export growth in November 2022 was the lowest since November 2020.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded that Indonesia’s export values in November 2022 reached US$24.12 billion, an increase of 5.58 percent as compared to US$22.85 billion during the corresponding period in 2021 (year-on-year/yoy).
"In total, the figure rose to US$24.12 billion (in November 2022), from US$22.85 billion (in November 2021), with non-oil and gas export values rising by 6.88 percent, while oil and gas export values declining by 15.23 percent," Deputy for Product Statistics at BPS M. Habibullah stated here on Thursday.
Habibullah remarked that the oil and gas export value in November 2022 fell to US$1.14 billion, from US$1.34 billion in November 2021.
Meanwhile, non-oil and gas export values registered an increase to reach US$22.99 billion in November 2022, from US$21.51 billion in November 2021.
Furthermore, the exports of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries commodities fell by 2.20 percent yoy; exports of the processing industry rose by 2.57 percent yoy; while the export values of mining and other exported products were up by 22.21 percent yoy.
The deputy noted that export values of the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors; the processing industry sector; as well as the mining and other export sectors reached US$420 million, US$16.68 billion, and US$5.89 billion, respectively.
However, he noted that the year-on-year export growth of November 2022 was far lower than the export growth of November 2021 -- which increased by 49.72 percent as compared to November 2020.
"The growth in export values has experienced a slowdown since July 2022. Moreover, the year-on-year export growth in November 2022 was the lowest since November 2020," he added.
Nonetheless, Indonesia’s trade balance in November 2022 experienced a surplus of US$5.16 billion, thereby making it the 31st consecutive month of surplus that Indonesia had achieved since May 2020, Habibullah noted on the same occasion.
In total, Indonesia's trade balance from January to November 2022 experienced a surplus of US$50.59 billion, with exports values of US$268.18 billion and imports values of US$217.58 billion.
