Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's exports rose by 9.17 percent to reach US$27.91 billion in August 2022 from US$25.56 billion the previous month, according to Statistics Indonesia (BPS).

"This value of US$27.91 billion consists of non-oil and gas as well as oil and gas (exports). For non-oil and gas commodities, there was an increase of 8.24 percent. Meanwhile, oil and gas commodities contributed an increase of 5.59 percent compared to the previous month," Deputy for Distribution Statistics and Services at BPS Setianto informed at a press conference here on Thursday.

Compared to August 2021, exports in August 2022 showed a 30.15-percent increase.

In the meantime, the largest decline was recorded in the exports of mineral fuel commodities, which fell by 6.68 percent to US$368.5 million.

Based on destination countries, the largest share of Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports in August 2022 went to China (US$6.1 billion), the United States (US$2.58 billion), and India (US$2.47 billion).
