Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga of Papua-Maluku Regions I Ketut Permadi Arya Kumara noted in Jayapura on Monday that his side is increasing coordination and communication with the Indonesia Defense Forces (TNI), National Police (Polri), and the local government to find about conditions in the area.
"Now, security conditions in the Papua Mountains are relatively stable, so fuel distribution, which had experienced problems yesterday due to security conditions, is now running normally," he remarked.
According to Kumara, increasing cooperation with all parties can help Pertamina conduct one-price fuel distribution to the three new provinces in the region.
"We also hope that coordination and cooperation from all parties, including the security forces, can help ensure smooth distribution of energy is maintained in these areas," he stated.
In addition, his side stated that for 2023, there will be additional one-price fuel stations in the three new provinces at a total of 12 locations.
"The details of the target area for one-price fuel stations in 2023 in our working area Papua Maluku are 36 locations, divided into 14 in Maluku and North Maluku, followed by 10 in West Papua and Southwest Papua, and a total of 12 locations in Papua and the new autonomous region that are targeted to become operational by the end of the year," he elaborated.
He also noted that currently, 36 locations for the one-price fuel stations, for which work is in progress, are targeted to be completed by the end of 2023 and will help in ensuring even distribution of fuel to these areas.
