"Positive parenting that is full of love to create good interactions between family members is a very important thing," the ministry's Assistant Deputy for Nutritional Security and Health Promotion, Jelsi Natalia Marampa, stated here on Wednesday.
She affirmed that positive parenting is the main key to preparing an excellent and quality generation.
"Moreover, positive parenting prioritizes the interests of children and involves children in decision-making. Thus, children will feel loved and valued," she remarked.
Marampa further noted that positive parenting in families can support the human resources development program, which is currently being promoted in the country to realize the goal of having a golden generation by 2045.

She emphasized that the closest family members and social environment have a significant role to play in monitoring the growth and development of children as the nation's future generation.
"To raise a child, it needs the support of all parties. To this end, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture invites the community, especially parents, to jointly create positive parenting for children," she remarked.
Meanwhile, the ministry's Acting Deputy for the Coordination of Children, Women, and Youth Quality Improvement, Didik Suhardi, highlighted that parenting could shape children's character development.
"Parenting plays an important role that can affect the quality of children's character. Therefore, the implementation of parenting becomes very important," he affirmed.
Suhardi explained that parents must provide guidance and set a good example for their children, so that they can become individuals with positive and noble character.
"Thus, it is hoped that children will be able to live a better life in the future and have positive character," he stated.
