Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) of the Home Affairs Ministry highlighted the importance of participatory development as a strategy to face the challenges of social dynamics, economy, and environment.

BSKDN Head Yusharto Huntoyungo noted in a statement from his ministry received here on Tuesday that development planning based on effective and targeted participation could be designed in development planning meetings (musrenbang).

The Musrenbang forum is expected to create policies that are responsive and in accordance with the needs of the community.

"Through this forum, all stakeholders can give inputs on problems and strategies for solving them that will be followed up by enhancement, aligning with central government development plans," he explained.

According to Huntoyungo, 2025 is a strategic year as an initial foundation to carry out various long-term planning strategies, both national and regional.

"Synchronization in the contents of the 2025 RKP (Government Work Plan) and RKPD (Regional Government Work Plan) is a priority amid the transition period toward the new government," he explained.

He noted that in pursuit of achieving the 2045 Golden Indonesia vision in accordance with the final draft of the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN), Indonesia is targeted to rank among the top five of the biggest economies in the world.

Huntoyungo emphasized that to achieve the goal, the government needs to make various efforts, including downstreaming, digitalization, infrastructure development, economic distribution, and decarbonization.

"We hope that over the next few years, these agendas can be synergized with regional governments at the provincial, district, and city levels, so that Indonesia's dreams can be achieved quickly," the BSKDN head remarked.

He made the statement at the Musrenbang for the 2025-2045 Regional Long-Term Development Plan and the 2025 RKPD of Riau Province in Pekanbaru, Riau, on Monday (April 29).
