Jakarta (ANTARA) - The State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Ministry has urged local governments in the eastern provinces to implement integrated electronic public services through Digital Public Service Malls (MPPs).

The ministry's assistant deputy for digital transformation of public services, Yanuar Ahmad, highlighted that the acceleration of the Digital MPPs is based on the President and the ministry's directive to enhance effective and efficient government administration.

The eastern provinces he noted include Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, and Maluku.

"Digital transformation is not an option, but a necessity because it is one of the keys for improving government performance and making it easier to get public services," he said in a statement released here on Friday.

Through Digital MPPs, people can access public services more easily, without having to upload documents as long as they meet the requirements and have a registered Digital Identity (IKD), he added.

Meanwhile, health workers will need to get registered on the Health Human Resources Information System (SISDMK) application.

According to the Health Ministry's Medical Council secretary, Yuli Farianti, the collaboration between the Health Ministry and the PAN-RB Ministry to integrate health worker licensing services through Digital MPPs will eventually make it easier for the public to access the services.

"This integration realizes the convenience of issuing medical practice licenses for health workers because they do not need other permits," she said.

Currently, there is one permit for health workers that can be issued through Digital MPPs. Later, the Digital MPPs will issue 97 types of permits for health professionals.

The presence of Digital MPPs is aimed at integrating various services at conventional MPPs to make it easier for the public to access services in an integrated manner.
