Jakarta (ANTARA) - President-elect Prabowo Subianto discussed international issues during a meeting with Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, at his private residence in Kertanegara IV, Jakarta, on Monday.

"Yes, I was summoned by Mr. Prabowo (to his residence). He gave directions on how to plan for the future considering the complexity of the current global situation, as we can see," he informed after the closed meeting.

He said Prabowo directed him to handle the situation for the good of the nation.

"I am a hard worker, everyone knows. I am also loyal. Amidst the uneasy situation, I will continue to push whatever task (is) entrusted to me," Thohir affirmed.

When asked whether Prabowo assigned him the foreign affairs portfolio in his government, Thohir seemed reluctant to provide an answer.

He underlined Prabowo's right to announce the names of his ministers at the best time.

From 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Prabowo summoned ministerial candidates to his private residence in Kertanegara to discuss their Cabinet assignments.

They included professionals, academics, politicians, bureaucrats, religious figures, high-ranking officials of community organizations, active police officials, as well as former soldiers.

Overall, 49 figures were summoned by Prabowo on Monday:
