Bogor (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto described the initiative to hold the National Coordination Meeting of the Central and Regional Governments 2024 as a strategic step to foster synergy among decision-makers at both the central and regional levels.

"I see this meeting as both highly beneficial and strategic—an uncommon opportunity for decision-makers from all levels to come together and shape the nation's direction for years to come," he remarked during his opening address in Bogor District, West Java, on Thursday.

The president also praised the Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Minister Tito Karnavian, for organizing the national forum, which was attended by over five thousand officials.

He called the meeting a valuable opportunity to address decision-makers from across the country for the first time since his inauguration as Indonesia's eighth president.

Prabowo added that the key instructions he aimed to deliver had already been outlined in his inaugural address on October 20, at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta.

Minister Karnavian echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the meeting was designed to facilitate the synchronization of regional policies with the "Asta Cita"— the eight main missions promoted by President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"This meeting is oriented towards coordinating and harmonizing institutions in regions, directing them to support the realization of priority programs and policies of Mr. President for the next five years," he stated.

The National Coordination Meeting of the Central and Regional Governments 2024, themed "The Implementation of Asta Cita towards Golden Indonesia 2045," brought together government officials for a series of panel discussions aimed at advancing Indonesia's future.
