The assistance includes 8,500 food packages worth Rp2 billion (US$119 thousand) to be distributed through Mishr El Khair, 8,500 food packages valued at Rp2 billion to be dispensed through Shuna'a al-Hayah, and 35 thousand food packages worth US$500 thousand to be disbursed by Bayt Zakat.
"Baznas is ensuring this assistance can be felt by beneficiaries. By collaborating with various trusted partners, we hope this assistance can reach more people in need in Gaza," Baznas Secretary Subhan Cholid noted in a statement on Tuesday.
He elaborated that under this collaboration, Muassasah Alamiyah acts as a provider of the humanitarian assistance to be distributed through trusted humanitarian agency partners.
"The food packages consist of rice, flour, noodles, cheese, tuna, biscuits, dates, juice, canned beans, tomato sauce, jam, and pasta. Before delivery, the packages will go through a quality control process by the Baznas team to ensure the quality of the aid received by the community is in the best condition," Cholid elaborated.
According to the Baznas secretary, this collaboration is a follow-up to the Baznas International Forum (BIF) in November 2024.
"Baznas is committed to strengthening the role of alms in supporting global humanitarian missions. Through BIF, we have succeeded in establishing cooperation with various international institutions, including Muassaaah Alamiyah to ensure the aid is distributed effectively and on target," he remarked.
Moreover, he ensured cooperation with various strategic partners will continue in the future to provide broader and more sustainable assistance.
"We believe that alms and donations have great power to help those in need. Baznas will continue to bridge Indonesian people in contributing to global humanitarian action, especially for our brothers and sisters in Palestine," he affirmed.
