The province's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that some areas in East Java, including Malang, Pasuruan, and Banyuwangi, may experience high-intensity rainfall.
"For those who will be traveling to these areas, please remain vigilant," she said.
The governor advised residents planning to go on holiday to consider accommodation availability and be prepared for potential disasters due to high-intensity rainfall, including associated risks like strong winds, flooding, and landslides.
She also called on all tourism operators, especially those involved in water-based tourism or managing facilities near water, to remain alert and implement proper disaster mitigation measures to ensure public safety and comfort.
"I hope that those who are traveling home or for the holiday can go and return safely and happily. Happy Eid al-Fitr," she said.
According to the East Java BMKG's Climatology Station, light to heavy rain, possibly accompanied by thunder, is expected in several parts of East Java, particularly in its eastern regions like Pasuruan and Probolinggo, on Monday.
Parawansa had earlier emphasized the preparedness of services for travelers returning to their hometowns in the province, noting that an estimated 16.8 million people are expected to enter East Java, and 14.2 million people will leave the region during the Eid holiday.
