The president, accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, arrived at Monas Square at 7:56 a.m. local time in a formal suit and black kopiah cap. He was welcomed by Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, as seen on the Police's YouTube live broadcast.
The national anthem, "Indonesia Raya," marked the commencement of the ceremony to celebrate the Indonesian Police's 79th anniversary, followed by a troop inspection by the president, who rode in an open-top military vehicle.
After the inspection, the president and guests of honour observed a troop parade featuring police units, officers in traditional costumes from various Indonesian regions, officers from organisations partnering with the police, and public security officers.
The paramilitary wings of public organisations such as Nahdlatul Ulama's Multipurpose Ansor Front (Banser), Muhammadiyah's Young Forces Alert Command (KOKAM), and those of the Islamic Union (PERSIS) also joined the parade.

The police also showcased robots in various forms—including humanoid, dog-shaped, tank-shaped, and agricultural drones—during the parade. At least 25 such robots were presented in the program.
According to Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, chief of the police's public relations division, the robots "reflect the modernisation of the Indonesian Police.”
Guests of honour at the Bhayangkara Day commemoration included People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Ahmad Muzani, House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani, and Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
Former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, former vice presidents Try Sutrisno, Jusuf Kalla, and Ma'ruf Amin, and Sinta Nuriyah, spouse of former president Abdurrahman Wahid, were also in attendance.
The ceremony was also attended by military chiefs of staff, Attorney General ST Burnahuddin, Head of State Intelligence Agency (BIN) M. Herindra, and cabinet ministers, including Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
