Tangerang Regency (ANTARA) - State logistics agency Bulog said that beneficiaries of the government’s 10-kilogram food assistance and the Rice Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) programs will be excluded from the aid if found involved in online gambling or terrorism.

“We firmly ensure that individuals involved in online gambling or radical terrorism are not eligible to receive this food assistance,” Bulog president director, Major General TNI, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, emphasized after distributing rice aid in Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Saturday.

“This is already regulated,” he added.

To ensure that the food aid is accurately targeted, Ramdhani said that his agency has obtained accurate data on groups deemed ineligible to receive the assistance.

In addition, Bulog is using a dedicated digital system to manage the distribution process. Under the system, each recipient is assigned a barcode, which has to be scanned and verified against their national identity card (KTP).

“So, if someone has a valid barcode and is listed in the beneficiary database, then they are clear to receive the aid. It’s secure,” Ramdhani explained.

Bulog is also working closely with law enforcement and military personnel, the National Armed Forces (TNI), and the National Police (Polri) to monitor the distribution of food aid to the public.

“We are supervising the distribution of the SPHP program together with our colleagues from the TNI and the police. We want to prevent this from being misused by certain individuals and avoid a repeat of incidents that occurred in previous years,” he underlined.

Bulog has been tasked with distributing food aid for June and July 2025, consisting of 10 kilograms of rice per recipient — totaling 1.3 million tons nationwide.

Ramdhani said that the government is providing the rice aid as part of efforts to check rising food prices.

The SPHP program, he added, is designed to ensure rice remains affordable, with the maximum price set at Rp12,500 per kilogram, or Rp62,500 for a 5kg pack.
