“Together with inspectors from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, we directly inspected aircraft fuselages and engines, pilots, personnel, and flight documentation,” the minister said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Monday.
The inspection covered aircraft operated by PT Garuda Indonesia, PT Super Air Jet, PT Batik Air, and PT Citilink Indonesia. “We want to ensure that every component meets the required standards,” he emphasized.
The minister reminded all airlines to strictly comply with aviation regulations, especially in the use of components that must meet both manufacturer and government standards.
He also instructed that if any irregularities are found during ramp checks or inspections, the aircraft should be grounded immediately.
The Ministry of Transportation reaffirmed its firm stance on prioritizing aviation safety and security.

To that end, Purwagandhi ordered the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to conduct routine inspections in accordance with standard operating procedures.
He also urged continued coordination with relevant stakeholders — including airlines, airport operators, AirNav, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the police, and the military — to ensure safe and smooth air travel across Indonesia.
“We sincerely hope that ongoing collaboration will result in air travel that is safe, comfortable, and efficient,” the minister said.

He reported that renovation work is progressing smoothly and remains on schedule.
