"At the time of the incident, they were immediately taken to the nearest puskesmas [community health center]," BGN Deputy Head Nanik Sudaryati Deyang said Thursday.
The incident, which occurred on August 29, was promptly addressed by the puskesmas. The children's symptoms improved after two hours of treatment, she added.
Nanik said the South Jakarta Health Service will provide details on the symptoms.
The BGN has recorded several suspected food poisoning incidents tied to the government's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in Jakarta.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed hope that such cases will not be repeated.
The first case was reported in Kalibata, South Jakarta, on August 29, where three children fell ill. Tests later confirmed microbiological contamination in the meals.
A second case in Koja, North Jakarta, on September 8 affected 14 people. Results are still pending.
Most recently, on September 23, seven high school students in North Jakarta suffered nausea after eating MBG meals, with three requiring hospital care.
