She conveyed the call during a meeting with South Korean National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik in Seoul.
According to Maharani, collaboration in new energy and green industrial zones presents a strategic opportunity for both nations to drive the regional green economy.
She also welcomed South Korea's active efforts in promoting a low-carbon economy and sustainable investment.
"I appreciate the Republic of Korea's commitment to the green transition, and we encourage strengthened collaboration and investment in renewable energy, particularly solar, wind, and hydrogen," Maharani said during a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 11th MIKTA Speakers’ Consultation on Wednesday.
The speaker also encouraged the optimization of the Indonesia-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IK-CEPA), which has been in effect since January 2023, to ensure that its benefits reach broader communities.
"Hopefully, more projects and proposals can be realized so the benefits of IK-CEPA can reach more people," she said.
Highlighting the importance of socio-cultural ties, Maharani noted that culture serves as a bridge connecting two nations and a foundation for lasting people-to-people engagement.
"Cultural collaboration will enrich mutual understanding and foster shared pride, especially among the younger generation," she added.
She also proposed initiatives such as establishing Indonesian language centers in Korea and vice versa, alongside language exchange programs to cultivate cultural ambassadors for both nations.
In addition, Maharani voiced support for developing youth startup networks, youth leadership programs, and joint tourism campaigns backed by expanded direct flight connectivity.
"We appreciate the role of Korean research and cultural institutions collaborating with various universities and institutions in Indonesia. The presence of the Korean Foundation in Indonesia has also strengthened this partnership," she stated.
Maharani concluded by emphasizing the parliament’s role as a bridge between the people's voice and the nation’s future vision.
"Let us strengthen solidarity, support each other in international forums, and design concrete initiatives to realize our people’s aspirations in both countries," she said.
