The two leaders arrived in the same vehicle at 04:49 p.m., greeted by a guard of honor and hundreds of elementary school students waving Indonesian and Jordanian flags.
President Prabowo had earlier welcomed the King upon his arrival at Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase at 04:05 p.m., before departing for the palace.
The two leaders then followed a welcoming ceremony that began with the national anthems of both countries being played—the Jordanian national anthem followed by the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya.
During this procession, a 21-gun salute was fired as a mark of honor for the official visit.
President Prabowo and King Abdullah II then inspected the guard of honor and greeted the enthusiastic elementary school students, before mutually introducing their respective delegations.
Several ministers accompanying President Prabowo on that occasion included Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
The President then invited King Abdullah II into the Credential Room for a photo session and to sign the state guest book as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.
The two leaders then held a one-on-one meeting in Prabowo's office.
President Prabowo previously visited Jordan on April 14, 2025, where he held a one-on-one meeting with King Abdullah II at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman on the second day of his visit to the country.
During that visit, the two leaders also witnessed the signing of three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and one defense cooperation agreement between Indonesia and Jordan.
