BNPB Head of the Data, Information, and Communication Center Abdul Muhari said here on Wednesday that the amount represented the realization of aid distribution recorded between November 29, 2025 and Jan. 19, 2026.
“The distribution was carried out through various modes of transportation to ensure the assistance reached all affected areas,” he said.
He explained that logistical distribution was conducted through 56 sorties of BNPB-chartered aircraft, 64 Hercules aircraft sorties, 55 trucks via land routes, and seven sea vessels.
For the daily distribution on Monday (January 19) he continued, aid distribution in Aceh Province was carried out by air through 10 sorties carrying 9.9 tons, as well as by land using three trucks with a load of 7.5 tons.
Thus, he said, the total logistics distributed in Aceh on that day reached 17.4 tons. Meanwhile, distribution in North Sumatra was conducted via land routes using four trucks with a total load of 10.31 tons.
In West Sumatra, logistical assistance was distributed by land with a load of 0.19 tons to affected areas.
BNPB’s emergency operations center reported that the number of affected residents who are still staying at evacuation sites currently stands at 113,903 people spread across disaster-hit areas.
According to the agency, the number of evacuees continues to change along with debris-clearing work, the recovery of residential zones, and the construction of temporary shelters.
BNPB continues to optimize emergency handling steps to ensure the safety of affected communities, especially vulnerable groups.
