"For crude oil from Russia, Pertamina's refinery Unit is capable of processing it into refined products," Dumatubun told ANTARA, contacted from Jakarta on Tuesday.
The statement relates to the government's plans to purchase crude oil from Russia.

Dumatubun stated that Pertamina will certainly follow government directives and policies regarding crude oil trade, including potential imports from Russia.
"Pertamina will certainly support and play a role in providing domestic energy and its distribution, from processing to finished products," Dumatubun said.
Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Bahlil Lahadalia negotiated the purchase of crude oil and LPG from Russia during his meeting with Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev in Russia.
According to an official statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Tuesday, the cooperation between Indonesia and Russia includes the development of oil refineries, strengthening oil trade, and increasing the use of energy technology.

"We have achieved quite good results from the agreement, allowing us to increase our crude oil reserves. In addition, we will also be able to obtain LPG," Lahadalia said.
The ongoing pressure on the global energy market has also impacted the stability of energy supplies in many countries, including Indonesia.
To maintain the security of the national energy supply, the government continues to explore strategic measures, one of which is exploring cooperation with Russia, one of the world's major energy producers.
