“We will build 2,000 locations throughout Indonesia, including in East Nusa Tenggara,” Hasan said during his visit to the Indonesian Bethel Church (GBI) in East Nusa Tenggara and delivering greetings for Christians in Kupang on Ascension Day, Friday.
He is currently awaiting data on the number of fishing villages to be built in 2026 for the East Nusa Tenggara region.
He hopes that the regional government will quickly collect data so that construction can be carried out in East Nusa Tenggara, known as one of the island provinces.
In the planned fishing villages, the government will also build an ice factory, cold storage, an auction market, and the Red and White Fishermen Cooperatives.
The goal is to ensure that the fish caught can be purchased by the Merah Putih Fishermen's Cooperative if they don’t sell all of it. “If you catch a lot of fish after fishing, you sell it, bargain it down, and then sell it. If you don’t sell it, it rots. So we’re going to build a fishing village,” he added.
The goal is to ensure that the fish caught can be purchased by the cooperative if the fish caught are not sold out.
He said there are currently many cooperatives in East Nusa Tenggara. However, in the future, more will be built and equipped with vehicles such as trucks, cold storage, pickup trucks, and cash for savings and loans.
On the same occasion, he also outlined several of President Prabowo's pro-people programs.
“The president’s current programs are very pro-people. All the programs he has implemented are aimed at the welfare of the community,” he said.
