Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Secretary General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Tjahjo Kumolo said President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had better reshuffle his cabinet ministers soon.

"PDIP only reminds (the president of the cabinet revamp) because if it is delayed it will miss the momentum," he said at the parliament building here on Monday.

He said that the discourse on the cabinet reshuffle had been raised for a long time and if the discourse continued it would disturb the government to carry out its development optimally.

After all, President Yudhoyono had promised that his government would carry out various policies until 2014 to improve the people`s welfare, Tjahjono said.

"If there is a political party which want to join or quit the government coalition, PDIP will please it and would not interfere in it," he said.

On the discourse that PDIP would join the government coalition, Tjajono said that President Yudhoyono had never asked PDIP to joint his government.

He said that it theere were communications between PDI chief patron Taufiq Kiemas, PDIP associate chair Puan Maharani and President Yudhoyono, Democrat Party (PD) functionaries as well as that of the Golkar Party, it was just a normal thing.

"PDIP opens communications with all sides, so the communications made by Taufiq Kiemas and Puan Maharani should not be construed as a political deal," he said. (*)
