"Cracking down on terrorism is part of the TNI tasks as regulated in Law No. 34 / 2004 on TNI," the military chief said in his written address read out by the Navy`s Eastern Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Ade Supandi here on Monday.
He said that a strong synergy among the TNI, police and other components of the people was needed in fighting against terrorism.
Besides fighting against terrorism, the problems of separatism in Papua and the recent incident in Ambon ( Maluku) must also be faced with strong togetherness so that all groups who wanted the country`s disintegration could be overcome, he said.
