Simon on the occasion needed 19 minutes to grab the title in the prominent tournament with the total prize money of US$ 650,000.
Simon, the seventh seeded, advanced to the final round after beating Indian player Kashyap Parupalli 21-15, 21-12 in the Bung Karno sports hall (Istora) here on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Pengyu Du, went to the final after defeating the champion of Thailand Open 2012, Sony Dwi Kuncoro in the quarter final of the tournament.
Upon his success, Simon deserved to receive US$ 48,750, while Pengyu Du as the runner-up received US$ 24.700.
Apart from Simon`s success, however, Indonesia`s mix doubles Tontowi Ahmad-Liliyana Natsir failed in the final, after being defeated by Thailand`s Sudkhet Prapakamol-Saralee Thoungthongkam 17-21, 21-17, 13-21.
In the meantime, the South Korean men`s doubles Lee Yong Dae and Jung Jae Sung also defeated the men`s doubles third seeded, Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen of Denmark, 23-21, 19-21, 21-11 in one hour and 16 minutes.
The Indian women`s singles, Saina Nehwal won over the
China`s Li Xuerui 13-21, 22-20, 21-19.
In addition, China women`s doubles Wang Xiaoli-Yu Yang won over Tian Qing-Zhao Yunlei also from China 17-21, 21-9, 21-16. The tournament took place from June 12 through 17.
Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia and Lin Dan of China were absent in the Djarum Indonesia Open 2012. (*)
