"Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Yudhoyono chaired a cabinet meeting at his office here on Thursday to discuss national economic progress and other economic issues related to 2013 Idul Fitri festivity.
"Again we hold the cabinet plenary meeting to discuss national economic situation, while developing a policy to overcome economic problem during the Idul Fitri festivity," Yudhoyono said.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Boediono, related cabinet ministers, members of Presidential Advisory Council, and other government officials.
Yudhoyono said he held the meeting to discuss latest national, regional, and global economic development.
"We need to make necessary policy and measure to maintain our national economic development," the head of state said.
He added that issues related to price stability and availability of basic necessities during the upcoming Idul Fitri festivity were also discussed during the meeting which started at 1 on Thursday afternoon.
