It is true."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested the chief of the Medan State Administrative Court (PTUN) for allegedly accepting a bribe.

"It is true (he has been arrested)," Commissioner of the Judicial Commission Imam Anshori Saleh noted in a short text message on Thursday.

According to Saleh, the KPK is searching the working room of the PTUN chief in Medan, the capital of North Sumatra province.

The PTUN chief is accused of receiving a bribe from a noted attorneys office in connection with a graft case.

The identities of the judge and the lawyer involved in the bribing case are still unknown.

The KPK has also not yet issued an official statement regarding the case.

On Wednesday, the anti-graft body also arrested the Morotai district head on graft charges.

The KPK sent the Morotai district head to a detention center after investigating him as a suspect in a corruption case in 2011.

The district head, who was taken into custody from a location in Jakarta, was sent to a detention cell after being interrogated for seven hours on Wednesday.

He was charged with bribing former Constitutional Court chairman Akil Mochtar to give a verdict in his favor in an election dispute for the Morotai district leader.
