The forum was a means to establish bilateral cooperation that could have direct impacts on the people, Indonesian Ambassador to Serbia Harry RJ Kandou said in a statement, Saturday.
He said the Indonesian people should be able to benefit bilateral cooperation in the fields of economic, investment and trade with Serbia.
"Regarding people-to-people contact, the Indonesian delegation has emphasized the importance of education and socio-cultural cooperation for instance by providing scholarships and student exchanges.
The Indonesian delegation also held a meeting with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss economic cooperation.
They also visited projects built by Indonesian investors in Serbia, such as an instant noodle factory built by Indo Adriatic Food in Indjija, and a mushroom plantation owned by Delta Danube in Kovin.
The delegation was headed by the director for Central and East Europe Affairs of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, T.B.H. Witjaksono Adji, and was flanked by Ambassador Kandou.
The Serbian delegation was led by Director for Asia, Australia and the Pacific of the Serbian Foreign Ministry Aleksandar Jankovic. ***2***
