Sabang is a tourism city and every stakeholder should play active role in maintaining the city`s cleanliness and in making it shiny."Sabang (ANTARA News) - Sabang City, which has been designated by the Tourism Ministry as a national tourism strategic zone (KSPN), should always maintain cleanliness, according to an official.
"Sabang is a tourism city and every stakeholder should play active role in maintaining the citys cleanliness and in making it shiny," Zulkifli HS, acting mayor of Sabang, said here.
Cleanliness is part of faith according to Islam, therefore it should be applied in daily life, he added.
He also called on inhabitants of Sabang to help tourists feel comfortable and safe while visiting the city.
Sabang which is located in Aceh Province, has plenty of beautiful scenery to attract tourists.
The city has many flora and fauna, pretty beaches and unique traditional arts and culture.
The government is intensifying tourism promotion of Sabang to boost tourism industry and improve the welfare of local inhabitants.
Sabang consists of Weh Island, which is main island, and several smaller islands.
The city is also known as the northernmost and westernmost city in Indonesia.
Sabang is also rich in natural beauty, waves and sea garden for diving, as well has historical sites.
