According to ANTARAs reporter on scene, the Swedish monarch saw the exhibition of eight Volvo cars in front of Art and Ceramics Museum.
The guest of honor was accompanied by Jakartas Acting Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat, President Volvo Club of Indonesia R. Endojoko PN and a member Ade Marboen.
The eight cars that were exhibited were from various series, such as Volvo 760 Limo, 740 GLE, 144 and 244, P1800, 264 DL, 940 Estate and 960 Limo.
The Swedish King and Queen are visiting Indonesia from May 22 until May 24 and will visit Jakarta, Bogor and Bandung.
VCOI is a Swedish car enthusiast group, which was scheduled to meet the royalties. No automotive communities have made it to the states guest of honor list before.
The community was formed back on January 19, 2001 and registered as an automotive club under Indonesian Motor Ties (IMI) and European Car Community.
Earlier, King Carl XVI Gustaf, along with Queen Silvia and 35 businessmen, held the Indonesian Sweden Executive Forum.
The visit from the Swedish King and Queen was the first in 65 years of bilateral cooperation.
King Carl XVI Gustaf mentioned his state visit to Indonesia on President Joko Widodos invitation showed strong friendship and bilateral commitment between the two countries.
"This collaboration is based on common base values such as democracy, free speech and tolerance," King Carl said during a press conference at Bogor Palace, Monday, May 22.
King Carl and President Jokowi also oversaw the signing of various Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), such as on free visa for diplomats, transport sector and creative industry.(*)
