Director of Operations and Commercial of Pelindo III Putut Sri Muljanto here Thursday said POCC will operate 24 hours within seven days by 64 personnel.
"The POCC in Tanjung Perak is the first in Indonesia, and will be developed in stages in other ports which are under the management of Pelindo III, and also at Gresik Port which will be a pilot project," Putut said.
POCC that implements a technology integration system will streamline national logistics costs.
"POCC integrates internal systems such as TOS (operational terminals), vasa (ship services), platforms (bill services), and others, with external systems, such as Inaportnet (port information system). So, basically POCC integrates internal and external systems into one system," Putut said.
Meanwhile, Head of Tanjung Perak Port, Hernadi Tri Cahyanto, welcomed the establishment of POCC because it connects Inaportnet System made by the Ministry of Transportation with Pelindo III`s internal system.
"In the future there will be several other parts that will continue to be developed and integrated so that the system will be more optimal," Hernadi said.
Before POCC is applied, the ship service administration process was not integrated and involved several parties including ship and terminal services. With POCC, the planning process of service ships and loading and unloading control are monitored in one centralized system.
Thus, those processes can be more efficient and effective both in terms of energy and time, and will benefit service users.
