Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The incumbent President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is better prepared for the second round of presidential debate, according to senior politician of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Pramono Anung.

"(For the) second debate, especially regarding infrastructure, food, energy and environment, it is something that has been carried out by Jokowi. So we are sure that this evening Jokowi is better prepared because he has been working for four and a half years," Anung said at the venue of the debate Hotel Sultan Jakarta on Sunday.

According to Anung, several issues related to the themes of the debate had been prepared carefully by Jokowi and his team, including the programs to provide electricity, infrastructure, as well as village funds.

Anung, who was accompanying Jokowi all day before the debate carried out, also stated that the presidential candidate is very relaxed to face the debate.

"We were with him all day, and he was very relaxed. He even had lunch with his granddaughter and children in Kelapa Gading," he said.

Anung, who currently serves as cabinet secretary, said that Jokowi has predicted several things which will be discussed in detail during the debate including data on food, electricity and infrastructure.

He made sure that Jokowi has mastered those data.

He also expected the presidential debate to provide best alternative for the people before making their final choice on April 17.

"This (debate) must provide the best alternative for existing leaders whether it is (candidate number) 01 or 02. If there is an offensive or attacking (statements) during the debate, it must be seen as an effort to provide an alternative choice for all Indonesian people," Anung said.
