Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 1 Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Ma'ruf Amin registered a thumping performance, excelling with 3,018 votes, or 93.7 percent of the total valid 3,220 ballots, while pair number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno secured 202 votes, 6.3 percent. This was revealed by the press statement of the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh on Friday.

In the meantime, of the total 3,095 Legislative Ballots, that were valid, the results of vote counting showed that the Indonesian Democratic Party-Struggle (PDIP) faring the best, with 56.3 percent, or 1,743 votes followed by the Indonesian Solidary Party (PSI), with 21.7 percent of votes; the National Democratic Party (Nasdem), 4.2 percent of votes, Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party, 4.1 percent of votes, and Golkar Party, three percent of votes.

After the elections on April 13, 2019, the momentum continued with the counting of ballots for the President and Vice President (PPWP) and the Indonesian Parliament on April 17, 2019, by the Overseas Electoral Committee (PPLN)-Phnom Penh and Overseas Polling Stations Working Committee (KPPSLN) at all polling stations and CWC in Cambodia at the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh.

The overwhelming public enthusiasm was apparent from their large numbers during the vote counting process held between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time. The ballot counting process was held in a safe, smooth, and orderly manner.

The 2019 simultaneous national elections in Cambodia were organized at five locations, namely in TPSLN-001 in Phnom Penh; KSK-001, Bavet; KSK-002, Chrey Thom; KSK-003, Poipet, including Siem Reap; and KSK-004, Sihanoukville.

Cambodia's voter participation reached 3,251, or 98.2 percent of the 3,310 available ballots, more than doubling the some 1,100 voter turnout recorded during the 2014 Presidential and Vice President Elections in Cambodia.
