Pekanbaru, Riau (ANTARA) - Ten more people have recovered from the novel coronavirus disease in Riau Province as of Tuesday, with the province reporting no fresh COVID-19 cases.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has remained unchanged at 111, with 29 people currently undergoing treatment, 76 people recovering, and 6 people dying of the infection, spokesperson for Riau Province's COVID-19 task force, Dr. Indra Yovi, said in a press statement released on Tuesday.

Among the 10 patients recovering from COVID-19 is a three-year old child, he added.

The latest recoveries include four from Dumai City, three from Bengkalis District, one from Meranti Islands District, and two from Pekanbaru City, he informed.

Although no new coronavirus case was reported on Tuesday, he urged local residents to comply with the health protocols to stem the spread of COVID-19.

"We call on the public to stay calm and alert, and maintain physical distancing. Although the people we meet are not ill, who knows if they have tested negative for COVID-19. So, the best thing to do is to stay at home and avoid crowds," he advised. (INE)
