"Cohesiveness is the need of the hour. This problem is too complex for the government to solve singlehandedly," the head of state remarked at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Saturday, while opening the 2020 Parmusi meeting.
"We must unite, with one determination, one spirit, one line in facing this difficult situation," he emphasized.
The president is optimistic that Parmusi members nationwide would move along with other elements of the nation to safeguard themselves and protect public health and safety of the nation and state.
"This is crucial, so that we can immediately recover and get back up," he noted.
The president affirmed that the sole effective means to avert the transmission of COVID-19 was enforcing discipline in applying health protocols and inculcating new habits that can protect humans from the disease.
The head of state emphasized the importance of leading a clean and healthy lifestyle to prevent transmission of the disease.
"Wearing a mask, maintaining safe required distance, washing hands frequently, following the practice of ablution, and staying away from crowds, including not holding activities that attract large crowds are necessary," he added.
