Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta provincial government has collaborated with an application-based career channel to unveil online service offering job vacancy lists and trainings, including for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through Jaknaker.id.

"This is one of the efforts to handle manpower problems in future during the pandemic," Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria noted after the unveiling of the job portal at the Jakarta City Hall on Thursday.

Through the online portal, job training will not only be handled, but it would also be conducted virtually.

In addition, Patria informed that job seekers could take talent and interest tests as well as avail other manpower services.

The online service exists to acclimatize to changes in the world, as it heads toward automation and digitalization.

Jaknaker.id provides convenience to job employers and seekers, including key information required to support special capabilities and technical skills.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta's Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Service Andri Yansyah explained that the online service was the result of cooperation between the provincial government and PT Top Karir Indonesia.

He noted that ever since the cooperation was forged, 1,421 job seekers had registered on Jaknaker.id, with the number of applications totalling 166,773.

"We hope that this collaboration would provide direct benefits to the people," Yansyah expounded.

Currently, the Jaknaker.id service has been directly integrated with the JaKi application that belongs to Jakarta's provincial government.

JakWifi is a program also unveiled by the Jakarta provincial government that aims to provide free internet services at thousands of locations across the capital city.

In addition to helping students in conducting online learning, the program was unveiled to help entrepreneurs and workers for the benefit of the economy.
