We hope there would no longer be any darkness (in the district).Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Social Affairs Ministry provided 17 electric trail motorbikes and constructed a social granary to assist the development of infrastructure and human resources in Puncak Jaya District, Papua Province.
Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini noted in a statement received here on Saturday that the electric trail motorbikes could be used by residents to distribute various daily-use items to meet the logistical requirements.
In addition, she stated that charging stations will be established at every center church.
Her side also built a social granary that stored one thousand ready-to-eat food packages, 304 children's food packages, one thousand pairs of adult clothing, 500 pairs of children's clothing, one thousand blankets, as well as three sets of multi-purpose tents.

“We also plan to install solar panels at several locations. Thus, the children can play in (their own) houses (safely at night) because there is lighting," the minister remarked.
She stated that the solar panels will be established at 10 locations throughout the district.
“We hope there would no longer be any darkness (in the district)," she stated.
Her side will also install communication devices, so that children in the area can enjoy internet services.
The ministry also symbolically handed over one thousand packages of snacks and milk, one thousand pairs of adult clothing, one thousand pieces of children's clothing, 20 soccer balls, 20 badminton rackets, 10 badminton nets, 10 tubes of badminton shuttlecocks, five children's swings, as well as five children's slides worth Rp503,209,620 (US$33.8 thousand) to Head of Puncak Jaya District Yuni Wonda.

During her working visit to the district on Friday, Rismaharini also visited the Alkitab Mulia School to offer encouragement to the local children.
She promised the local educational workers to build a school hall and a health building to optimize learning activities.
Furthermore, she paid a visit to the Mulia Regional Hospital of Puncak Jaya District to observe the cataract surgery held for underprivileged residents.
