We have to push for extensive (efforts) and resources to assist the government and Cianjur people, so they recover quickly from the emergency situation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Red Cross (PMI) dispatched its resources and volunteers to assist in the post-earthquake recovery efforts in Cianjur District, West Java Province.

"We have to push for extensive (efforts) and resources to assist the government and Cianjur people, so they recover quickly from the emergency situation," Secretary General of the National Red Cross Sudirman Said noted, as quoted from the organization's broadcast on Tuesday.

Said stressed the importance of building temporary housing for the victims with further ado.

"Based on the current situation, after we visit several of the worst-hit locations, it is estimated that the reconstruction stage will take a long time. Hence, the victims must be assisted with temporary housing for six months to one year," he stated.
