"Cooperation on security with all stakeholders, both with the Indonesian military (TNI), the police, the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), and Internet providers," BSSN Head Hinsa Siburian said here on Monday.
Sharing information on the threats of cyberattacks will be BSSN's focus at the summit, he added.
"Not only coordination, but we will also share information related to threats. BSSN, in accordance with its duties and functions, will coordinate with other elements," he said.
The success of the G20 Summit last year became a key reference for coordinating cybersecurity at the ASEAN Summit, he added.
The best practices of the G20 Summit and other operations helped enrich, add experience, and improve the skills and capabilities of related personnel, he added.
Meanwhile, BSSN Spokesperson Ariandi Putra said that his party is ready to support cybersecurity at the ASEAN Summit.
"BSSN is ready to maximally support cybersecurity at the ASEAN Summit, which will be held in Labuan Bajo on May 10 (2023),” Putra added.
Cybersecurity activities will not only be observed on the day of the summit, but also before and after the event, he added.
BSSN has formed a special cybersecurity task force in order to anticipate disruptions and threats in cyberspace during the summit.
The task force has been divided into three teams, with one team in charge of carrying out cybersecurity operations, another of monitoring sociocultural information, and the third of tracking crypto operations.
Putra also urged the public to use cyberspace wisely.
"BSSN also expects support from the community in using cyberspace wisely and positively to maintain conduciveness during the 2023 ASEAN Summit," he said.
