According to a statement received from his secretariat in Jakarta on Thursday, the president gladly welcomed the construction of the apartment that he deems as consistent with IKN Nusantara's green city concept.
"IKN is being developed by applying the green city concept, so all elements, including the buildings, should be eco-friendly. In my opinion, the development plan of the apartment genuinely conforms to the concept," he said during the groundbreaking for the apartment in Nusantara, East Kalimantan.
Jokowi praised the design for The Pakubuwono Nusantara Apartment, saying that it will become a reference for other developers.
"This (design) is very good. I believe it will encourage other developers to emulate the green concept prepared by The Pakubuwono Nusantara," he said.
The president noted that the apartment will be built by applying the latest technology to create efficiency and ensure comfort for its residents and those living in its surroundings.
"The apartment will really emerge as a green residence that utilizes the latest technology to pursue efficiency and comfort while presenting progress and innovation," he pointed out.
He then expressed optimism that The Pakubuwono, the developer of the apartment, would make significant contributions to the development of IKN Nusantara, as he believes that the developer wields a positive reputation at the international level.
"I am certain that with its experiences and reputation, The Pakubuwono will significantly contribute to the development of Nusantara," he said.
State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister Hadi Tjahjanto, and Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono, among others, accompanied President Jokowi during the groundbreaking ceremony.
