Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia ensured that the influx and appeal of investments at the new capital city (IKN) Nusantara were not in a weakened state despite the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) head's resignation.
Lahadalia dismissed rumors about the resignations of the OIKN head and deputy head adversely affecting the investment value at IKN by noting that infrastructure construction in the city had been going on track.
"I have just returned from a visit to Nusantara to accompany Mr. President (Joko Widodo) to the groundbreakings of several investment-funded projects, including the PLN Hub and a Stanford University-backed R&D hub," he remarked in Jakarta on Friday.
The minister then highlighted that the construction of some hotels and hospitals in Nusantara was almost complete.
He also underlined that several business actors had continued to visit Nusantara to witness progress in the city's development.
"It is true that the development of infrastructure has yet to reach 100 percent completion. However, it should be noted that we do not witness a decline in people's interests in placing capital (in Nusantara)," he clarified.

Meanwhile, a researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Bahtiar Rifai, assessed that the commemorative ceremony of the 79th anniversary of Independence Day, planned to be held in Nusantara in August, could attract more investors and demonstrate progress in the city's development.
Earlier, on Monday (June 3), State Secretary Minister Pratikno announced the resignations of OIKN Head Bambang Susantono and his deputy, Dhony Rahajoe.
In response, President Widodo issued a decree to appoint Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono and Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Raja Juli Antoni as the acting head and acting deputy head of the OIKN.
The president then instructed Hadimuljono and Antoni to continue to strive for the rapid development of Indonesia's future seat of government.
