Deputy minister-designates attending the briefing included former Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto, lawyer Otto Hasibuan, and former Presidential Special Staff member Aminuddin Maruf.
Other attendees were Bambang Eko Suhariyanto, special staff member for the defense minister, and Diana Kusumastuti, director general at the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.
Despite attending the briefing for minister and agency head-designates on Wednesday, former National Commission for Human Rights commissioner Natalius Pigai also attended Thursday's briefing.
The orientation for deputy minister-designates is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They receive briefings on artificial intelligence, media and communication, future employment, and anti-corruption.
Meanwhile, minister and government agency head-designates for the president-elect's cabinet were briefed on October 16. The topics discussed during the first day of the orientation for ministerial candidates included leadership, geopolitics, and gross domestic product.
The orientation on October 16-17 follows the president-elect's summons of some 49 figures nominated as ministerial candidates at his residence in Jakarta on October 14. The group consisted of politicians, academics, and incumbent ministers.
On October 15, Prabowo summoned another 59 figures nominated as deputy ministers or heads of government agencies.
Figures from more diverse backgrounds who responded to the president-elect's summons on Tuesday included celebrity Raffi Ahmad, retired badminton athlete Taufik Hidayat, singer and member of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Advisory Board Giring Ganesha, and musician Yovie Widianto.
