"The President will be visiting several countries and inquired about health issues related to China, the United States, and the United Kingdom," Sadikin said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday.
He explained that previous efforts in health cooperation with China could be advanced by the President during his visit.
Regarding the United States, Sadikin mentioned that a memorandum of understanding in the health sector has been established, and Indonesia is currently awaiting a response from the U.S.
As for the United Kingdom, Sadikin noted that there is an opportunity to follow up on prior discussions with the British ambassador.
"The British ambassador met with me and proposed a potential collaboration to be signed," he said.
Sadikin provided this briefing since he will not accompany the President on his overseas trip.
During this visit, Prabowo will attend the APEC Summit in Peru and the G20 Summit in Brazil, in addition to making state visits to China, the U.S., the U.K., and potentially G7 countries that have invited him.
On Wednesday, Prabowo held a Cabinet plenary session to prepare for the overseas trip.
"I cannot decline all these invitations, as they hold strategic value and relate to our economic situation," Prabowo stated.
He also encouraged Cabinet members to contact him via video call for any important matters while he is abroad.
"If you have already discussed an issue with the coordinating minister but still need clarification from me, feel free to reach out. You can call me directly," Prabowo said.
