Speaking in the company of NTB acting governor Hassanudin, Karding said that the waiting room has been designed to serve Indonesian workers about to go abroad for work, and thereby support their departure process.
The waiting room is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Indonesian Migrant Workers' Protection and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.
"Earlier, we met with 90 Indonesian migrants who will fly to Malaysia. We can confirm that they have all the requisite documents and hope that they will return to the motherland as successful people one day," the minister said.
Karding then emphasized that the waiting room is a testament to the government's commitment to protecting Indonesian migrant workers.
"I believe that our migrant workers will be able to actualize their dreams and make the nation proud if they work legally, receive guidance, and make proper preparations," he added.
