He called on all stakeholders to enhance vigilance across all modes of transportation, including land, sea, air, and railways.
In the land transportation sector, the minister stressed the need for consistent vehicle inspections, not only to assess vehicle conditions but also to monitor drivers' health.
He also underscored the importance of ensuring the readiness of rest areas, toilet facilities, and designated places of worship as resting spots for travelers.

For air transportation, the minister urged airports operating 24/7 to prioritize the safety and well-being of on-duty personnel.
Furthermore, he stressed the need for continuous monitoring of airfare discounts and enhanced preparedness for extreme weather conditions that could disrupt flights.
"Based on the preparations presented by the directors of SOEs in the transportation sector, I am optimistic that this year's homecoming and return traffic will be safe and well-managed," he said.
SOEs Minister Erick Thohir reaffirmed his ministry's commitment to coordinating with the Ministry of Transportation to ensure safe and smooth travel during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return periods.
