In his speech, Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia will not remain a silent witness to the suffering of the people of Gaza and its surrounding areas.
"How can a six-year-old boy or girl be guilty of anything? How can an unarmed mother be bombed and lose their house and lose everything? It's I think something that is very hard to digest," he remarked.
In this regard, he affirmed that he would visit Cairo, Doha, and Amman to consult with leaders of Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
This step, he said, is part of Indonesia's active diplomacy in supporting peace and humanitarian assistance for the people of Palestine.
He emphasized that Indonesians perceive attacks on innocent civilians in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria as akin to an assault on themselves.
Prabowo noted that Indonesia has sent a medical team in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to open a field hospital.
The Indonesian government is also committed to building additional health facilities in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as accepting injured civilians and Palestinian students for treatment and receiving education in Indonesia.
The president also emphasized the importance of the two-state solution with an Independent Palestine as a permanent solution to end the conflict, adding that the rights to safety and existence must be guaranteed for both Palestine and Israel.
"There should be peaceful collaboration, I think. That is the key to real peace," he remarked.
The ADF is an annual event held by Türkiye. This year's forum, held on April 11-13 under the theme "Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World," was inaugurated by President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
