On that occasion, the head of state observed the signing of the MoU on health cooperation by Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono and Thai Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin.
According to the Presidential Secretariat, the agreement marks a joint commitment to increasing the capacity of the national health systems of both nations while strengthening diplomatic relations that have existed for 75 years.
Prabowo also noted that such collaboration is crucial given the rising global risk of health threats, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"This is important as we face the possibility of new pandemics," he remarked.
